New Album

Hello, This is Eric Warncke. The Lexington's 4th album has taken longer to record than any of our previous albums (but not as long as it takes for hell to freeze over) for good reason. There are lots of songs on it and they all have hundreds of vocal tracks on them. This album also has lots of guest instrumentalists and singers, unlike our other records which were 99% recorded by me. I hope you will all like our newest album when it comes out and ask us to play a show for you. Previews coming soon. (I know I've said that before) - Eric Warncke

New Blog Mention

The blog Providence Daily Dose has written about our show this Thursday at AS220 in Providence, RI. You can read the article below.

"BY Beth Comery

Local talent, the Lexingtons, will be in town Thursday night performing once again at AS220. (Good solid band name there... kind of retro without really summoning up anything specific... won’t embarrass their moms.) Songwriter Eric Warncke cites as influences the Beach Boys and Nilsson, as well as Canadian musicians the Heavy Blinkers, all evident at first listen. The Lexingtons traffic in chime-y, melodic pop that would not be out of place on a chill wave mix with Beach Fossils or the Drums, although maybe a little higher-fi. Check out ‘Health is Here!’ which sounds positively goofy at first — make no mistake, this is Pop with a capital ‘P’ — but just go with it. We could all use some happy music right about now to cheer us the hell up.

Also on the bill: Dangerchunks, Fall and Bounce and White Savages.

$6, 9pm, Thursday, September 29, AS220, 115 Empire Street"
